In the wild, pitcher plants lure in and capture insects and transforms them into energy once they are dissolved. In the future, a genetically modified pitcher plant could be installed in various subway tunnels that will lure and dissolve rats. In NYC alone, there are over 2 million rats living in subways. This will take care of the rat population and transform them into energy to power the lights in the subways or provide any other energy needed in the surrounding area.
